Disney Down Town and Disneyland

Disney Down Town
The last time I visited Disneyland was when I was 12 yrs old and the outside of Disneyland is not the way I remember. Before it was a huge parking lot, but now there is Disney Down Town where you don't have to enter the park to get a taste of Disneyland.
Disney Down Town is a huge outside mall area with restaurants, stores and vendors. There are many people hanging out in this area but mainly tourists. Instead of just leaving Disneyland and just heading towards your vehicle now you can take your time and hangout.
Disneyland
Being in Disneyland is like being in another planet. Everything is magical and over the top. The old part of Disneyland is still there and the new areas integrate seamlessly.
My favourite part of Disneyland is still the same as my first visit at 7 yrs old and last visit at 12 yrs old, the haunted house. They've updated the theme to use "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and the details are overwhelming.
Another wonderful feature of Disneyland is the Fast forward Pass. With a little searching around the popular rides you'll find an area where you can get a ticket which will give you front of the line privileges. The only problem is that you're limited to one every few hours. But it does make a difference in the amount of time you spend in line.
And at the end of the day you have to stay for the fireworks. There is two sets going off, one above "Sleeping Beauty's Castle" and the other over top "It's A Small World." Because we came during the winter session they added a unexpected touch after the fireworks show, they a had snow machines blow snow afterwards. It was totally magical. |
