Redwood Forest National Park
California, USA, November 15, 2006
This strip of land off the main highway and down the "Avenue of Giants" has some of the largest trees in North America. So large that a car can drive right through. The size of these ancient trees are enormous. I even stood in the a cross-section of a tree and was almost able to stand completely straight. Come and stand in nature's cathedrals.
There is not only trees to tower over, but also tree houses to step into. And the local artists creating sculptures from old tree stumps makes you wonder what other surprises are in store. Even though the locals live in the presences of these historical giants, they are just as modern as everyone.
