Universal City and Universal Studios

Universal City
They have not only updated Disneyland but also Universal Studios. Instead of just walking right onto the lot, there is Universal City just outside to enjoy. With restaurants, shops and vendors it's easy to just stay outside of this major tourist attraction.
Universal Studios
Universal Studios is still where many people hope to see celebrities, but that would only be on the back lot, which is a totally different tour. Because we came during the winter season there was not enough time to do the the front and back lot. So the studio tour is saved for another visit. Nothing to have a hissy fit about but something to note when coming to on the off season.
The front lot has many fun rides to enjoy, from your traditional rides to 3D simulators and 4D interactive rides. One of the most exciting and enjoyable experience was the "Mummy" ride. It is a short rollercoaster experience that goes forwards then backwards with some 3D effects. You have to experience it to understand the amazement.
Another added bonus to Universal City is the "Star Pass." With alittle more money invested in this pass, this card give you front-of-the-line access to all the rides, and the bonus, you don't have a time limit. You even have a separate entrance and get to go past everyone in the long line-ups. Another wonderful thing about this pass is that we have free unlimited access to Universal Studios for the following year. So we're coming back soon. |
