Christmas Because of our states trip we couldn't spend Christmas with family. We stayed home, decorated the tree, put lights on the house, and had a huge dinner. We even decided to make ginger bread men and make them look like Gingy from the movie "Shrek." Besides the ginger bread men we made: candy cane cookies, reese sort-of pieces, confetti squares, raisin tarts, and rice crispy squares. The rest of our menu consisted of roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, home-made stuffing, gravy, brussel sprouts and cheese sauce, asparagus, smoked oysters, pickles, pickled asparagus, olives, 5 different cheese, asiago and artichoke dip, crackers, bread, cream cheese rolls and mushroom caps. That's quite a bit of food for two people... don't worry we had other mouths to feed. |
