Lynn Headwaters Regional Park
North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, July 2006

Lynn Canyon with it's free suspension bridge appeared to be more popular than the Lynn Headwaters location, but to our surprise this well tucked away park is very busy. If you don't arrive early enough during the day it's challenging to find a parking spot close to the trail head.

There are several trails in this park. We decided to take it easy and took the Lynn Loop Trail. The terrain is very well maintain and the forest is lush scattered with reminisce of the old logging days. Keep your eye out for the Lynn Loop Trail sign, if you miss it you'll end up hiking the Cedars Mill Trail instead. When you find the fork in the road, there are switchback stairs to climb but the scenery is beautiful that you don't notice the steep incline. At the top, make sure to stop at the lookout and enjoy the beauty of location.

A sign that got my attention was "Point of Interest: Boulders." Hmm..

Right before leaving the park you'll notice people stopped at the side of the road with large containers of water. There is a natural spring located on the road side. Whether the water collected is treated when taken home is a mystery to me.

Directions
From Highway 1, take the Lynn Valley Road exit in North Vancouver and follow north to the park entrance.
